Lentils and Sausages

We love to provide easy recipes and this one is no exception! It's delicious, nourishing and easy. What's else?!
1 lbs of lentils
8.5 cup of water
1/2 lbs of pork belly (optional)
2 bay leaves
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon juniper berries (optional)
Cut your onion in half and stick the 4 cloves in it. Cut the carrot into 1/2 inch slices. For the meat, cut the pork belly into rough square.
Rinse your lentils with cold water. Put lentils in a pan, and covered them with water. Add the carrots, onion, thyme, bay leaves and pork belly and start cooking on medium heat.
Once it's start boiling remove the scum from the top, then, put a lead on but don't cover it all the way. Let it cook for about 20minutes.
While the lentils are cooking, it's time to cook the sausage. In a pan, put a little bit of olive oil and cook the sausage on medium heat.
Time assemble your dish! Put the lentils first, then the sausage on top of it, and Voilà!
