Pain Perdu (Lost Bread Toast)

For breakfast or for dessert, this recipe has been around for years and years! Easy, no need of a lot of ingredients, and of course super delicious!
2 large eggs
⅓ cup of sugar
¼ cup of milk
1 tablespoon of vanilla extract
2 slices of bread (the older the better)
2oz of unsalted butter
Mix your egg with the sugar and the vanilla extract. When you obtain a homogenous mixture, add the milk. Pour some of the mixture in a soup plate (it will be easier to dump and coat your bread with it).
Dump your two slice in the mixture and let it soak for a couple of minutes. Don't forget both side!
In a pan on medium heat, add the butter. Once melted, grilled your bread, a couple minutes on each side.
Remove from the pan once the bread has a golden color. Cut in the shape you like and grate some chocolate on top of it!
